Mason-Kay Jade is proud to announce our sponsorship of the inaugural International Jade Summit at the Monterey Bay Jade Festival this June 14th, 2025.
This full-day conference will feature educational presentations from a jade miner, a jade discoverer, a gemologist, and a geologist/geophysicist, offering in-depth insights into the world of jade.
Attendees will have the opportunity to learn directly from renowned industry experts, including Kirk Makepeace of Jade West Mining (Canada), Mary Lou Ridinger of Jade Maya (Guatemala), Jeff Mason of Mason-Kay Jade (USA), and Lou Blanck of Earth Design, Inc.
Breakfast and lunch are included, with ample time for professional networking, as well as the chance to explore the Georg Schmerholz Jade Carving Exhibition and the Monterey Bay Jade Festival—both set against the scenic backdrop of Old Fisherman’s Wharf and the stunning Monterey Bay.
Scheduled for the weekend following JCK Las Vegas, this event provides jewelry professionals with a unique opportunity to unwind in Monterey, savor fresh seafood, visit the world-renowned Monterey Bay Aquarium, and deepen their knowledge of two of the most historically significant gemstones: jade.
Designed as a continuing education experience, IJS 2025 aims to enrich the gem industry by advancing jade expertise among gemologists, appraisers, and retail jewelry professionals. However, jade enthusiasts, collectors, and connoisseurs are also encouraged to attend.
